旧奈良監獄は監獄施設の近代化を目指して、1908年(明治41年)に誕生しました。
日本最古の刑務所として100年以上に渡りその役割を全うした旧奈良監獄は、その歴史的価値から重要文化財として指定を受け、ホテルとして生まれ変わります。
The Former Nara Prison was born in 1908 (the 41st year of Meiji) to represent the modernization of confinement facilities in Japan. The Prison, having played its role as the oldest prison in this country for more than one hundred years, was designated as a cultural asset, and it is now underway to a newborn hotel.
